PE, Forest School and Afterschool Clubs

Physical Education

We offer a rich and varied PE programme to help children develop skills, fitness, and a love of physical activity. Lessons are delivered by a mix of class teachers and external coaches from Premier Education, giving pupils the opportunity to experience a wide range of sports and activities.

We also offer a variety of sports-based after-school clubs, providing even more opportunities for children to be active, try new sports, and have fun.

When does my child have PE?

Forest School

At St Andrew’s, our Forest School sessions take place mostly off-site at Vecklands Woods and are led by trained Forest School teachers from Lower Covey. During these full-day sessions, children enjoy outdoor learning experiences such as cooking over a fire, building dens, creating seasonal forest crafts, and exploring the woods. Each class attends Forest School every Monday, so pupils typically experience a full Forest School day roughly once a month, giving them the chance to connect with nature, develop practical skills, and enjoy active, hands-on learning.

Clubs Register

We offer a great range of before school, lunchtime and after school clubs which are designed to further enrich our children’s educational lives.

At lunchtimes we have lunch time clubs which can include Chess and Recorder

After school clubs tend to vary during the year but popular ones are gardening, art, Lego and performing arts,

Our children really enjoy all of these clubs and they can give them a different perspective on life and another opportunity in which to blossom.
